Description

Sculptra PLLA – 2 x 5ml Vials

Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) injectable implant supplied as a dry powder for reconstitution before use. It is used by appropriately trained healthcare professionals for gradual soft-tissue augmentation and collagen-stimulating aesthetic treatment.

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Unlike a conventional hyaluronic-acid dermal filler designed primarily for immediate gel-based correction, Sculptra is used within treatment plans where progressive tissue augmentation and collagen stimulation are the objective.

Product preparation, reconstitution, injection technique and treatment planning should follow the current manufacturer instructions for use and the practitioner’s training.

Product specification

  • Brand: Sculptra
  • Active component: Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA)
  • Presentation: 2 x 5ml vials
  • Per vial: 150mg PLLA, 90mg sodium carboxymethylcellulose and 127.5mg non-pyrogenic mannitol
  • Format: Dry powder requiring reconstitution before administration

Where does Sculptra fit in aesthetic practice?

Sculptra is relevant when the treatment objective is progressive tissue augmentation rather than immediate HA-filler-style correction. Manufacturer documentation includes facial indications such as cheeks, temples, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and chin crease, alongside other specified face and body areas. Practitioners should use the current instructions for use to determine appropriate indications and technique.

Sculptra vs Radiesse

Sculptra and Radiesse are both used in biostimulatory aesthetic practice but they are not interchangeable. Sculptra is PLLA-based, while Radiesse is based on calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA). Read our Sculptra vs Radiesse practitioner comparison before comparing the ranges.

Sculptra vs Dermal Fillers

For clinics choosing between product categories, the key question is treatment objective. Explore our Dermal Fillers collection for HA and other filler options, or browse the complete Sculptra range.

Clinic ordering considerations

Before ordering, practitioners should confirm the exact product presentation, manufacturer instructions, storage requirements, reconstitution requirements and suitability for the intended treatment plan. Maintain appropriate batch traceability and stock-control procedures within the clinic.
